Skirts for days

Good evening everyone and happy Saturday.

It’s a cold, wet and grey autumn day on The Isle of Wight today, which is perfect for what I wanted to write about.

I live in dresses and skirts in the Autumn and Winter months. Here are a few of my favourite new skirts that I’ll be rocking.

All of the skirts are affordable, good quality and unknowingly have a 90’s ‘Clueless’ vibe.

What more could you want?

I didn’t even realise until I had googled Cher and Dionne’s plaid skirts, and then scrolled on down on Google to see other similar items.

Iconic and timeless skirts.

Perhaps subconsciously, that’s why these skirts appealed to me.
As a 90’s baby I couldn’t even tell you how many times I’ve seen this film, so it’s no surprise that I have these outfits in mind.

Burgundy corduroy button down miniskirt
Primark £8
I have long but curvy legs so I love wearing skirts, thick tights and boots for the Autumn and Winter.
In the colder months, I’m not as keen on mixing pattern with patterns, so I opted from a plain but beautiful skirt with a rich colour.
This simple and stylish skirt will go with all autumn tones and patterns, and guarantee to make you look like a ‘Total Betty’

Monochrome Check Brushed Skirt
Peacocks £16
This preppy style skirt is a mix between Cher and Dionne’s Iconic plaid shirt suits.
This skirt comes up a little larger, so I went down a size. It’s smart and can be worn with flats or heels. If you’re brave enough, rock a mustard polo neck jumper or shirt to bring out the yellow stripes. Or some over the knee black socks?

Red tartan skater skirt
Primark £8
I didn’t intentionally look for this pattern as I’ve never been brave enough so wear tartan, but this was a find as I found it left amoungst other clothing, in my size. Fate!
I wore this to a birthday dinner with friends with a black 3/4 sleeved shirt, black tights and black wedged heels. This skirt is flowy, flirty, pretty, and also makes a statement.

Each skirt is so different from the other, even though I already had quite a few Autumn and winter skirts, these 3 are so different to anything I’ve owned.
Can a woman have too many skirts?

As if!
