No better place to start than Martin Luther King Jr

Good evening all,

Saturday afternoon I popped into The Works (surprise surprise), and had a little mooch through the bargin baskets.

I wasn’t looking for a particular book, but after a few minutes of shuffling through, I picked up The Autobiography of Martin Luther King Jr.

I’m embarrassed to say that I know very little about this great man. I’m only familiar with a few of his quotes, some of his believes and what he stood for. I was never taught about him in school, but that’s no excuse, as now that I’m an adult, I should educate myself on people who have shaped the world we live in today.

I bought the book, and have decided that for this year, I will read one book a month. For me, this would be a personal challenge.
I enjoy reading but I don’t always find the time no often have so much else in my head that I cannot fully concentrate.

I have started my book rather late this month, and don’t expect I will finish it in the next 10 days, but you never know. I like a challenge.

Also… Happy Martin Luther King Jr Day
