Good evening wordpress friends, how was everyone’s weekend?
I had the weekend off, (living the dream), so I made the most of every minute.
Saturday morning I’d made plans to meet a friend for brunch… he was running late, so I thought I’d use my time wisely. And buy shoes.
1. They were in the sale at half price
2. I needed sandles to match my new hand bag
New Look – £6.49 each!
When we eventually met we decided to eat at a lovely Independent Island Cafe, Cafe Isola.
I had a berry smoothie, which was thick and delicious, and a granola bowl. Granola with yogurt, honey and fruit, very filling and nutritious, and possibly a new favourite breakfast choice!

After a couple of hours catching up and locking down summer plans, I picked up some lovely fresh fruit and veg, from my local Green grocers.
For the next couple of hours, I finally got to have a proper look at my July Glossybox, and binge watched a season and a half of Fleabag. Wow. I laughed out loud, teared up, and covered my mouth with my hand in awe! What. A. Series!
All whilst whipping up a mean cottage pie from scratch. Man I miss having time to actually cook from scratch and enjoy the process.
Yes it looks like a hell of a portion but I made enough for dinner Saturday and Sunday. Gotta love batch cooking!
After filling ourselves to the brim with cottage pie and lashings of brown sauce (has to be done), we headed off to the cinema.
Now, I double booked. We had bought tickets to watch The Matrix a few weeks ago, and had forgot that I had planned a night out for one of my girls birthdays!
So of course, I had to go to the cinema dressed to go ‘out out’. No worries, I wore my flats and had my heels smuggled in my handbag… slightly a little overdressed for the cinema, but I thought I looked okay!
Nothing like one of the best films of the 90s to get you pumped up for a night out drinking and dancing with the girls!

Sunday morning (fresh faced and without a hangover) I saw that it was another stunning day, so called the family and friends to meet at the beach for a picnic.
We are so lucky on the Isle of Wight to be surrounded by beaches.
Apply beach is one of my favourites, with beautiful golden sand, a lovely cafe and games on the beach, it was the perfect setting for a sunday with loved ones.
After a bit of lunch, and digging some holes, we waited for the tide to go out, and then took a stroll, in search for shells and stones to decorate our sandcastles.
Theres nothing like searching for odd shaped and pretty stones to make you feel like a big kid.
After the rest of the cottage pie and a relaxing soak in the bath, and treated myself to the Baby Blue Bathbomb from Mindfull Made.
I was getting ready to settle down for the evening, when my boyfriend reminded me we had booked tickets for the cinema to watch Spiderman: Far from home.
If you haven’t seen it, I strongly recommend it!
Back to work, and I’m so thankful for my week off, and the beautiful weather over the weekend.
Be sure to look out for my upcoming post about Our Holiday to Portugal and my Glossybox review.
Have a beautiful week everyone!
